On Tuesday afternoon, rising junior Seth Trimble announced that he was withdrawing from the transfer portal and coming back to North Carolina. This is welcome news for Hubert Davis and company, who will get back their top individual defender. Also on Tuesday afternoon Matt Norlander of CBS sports spoke of rumors of RJ Davis returning to North Carolina to utilize his COVID eligibility and play a 5th year for the Tar Heels. It would be the 3rd straight season UNC has had a player stick around for a 5th year. North Carolina will still be in search of a center, power forward, and small forward to fill out the roster.
